Mother's Day

If you ask me, Mother's Day is a day meant for self-care. A day when mothers should be off the clock. Not a kid in sight. This doesn't mean I love my children any less. Oh no. Just the opposite. It means I've spent the other 364 days kissing boo-boos, driving them to extracurricular activities, and helping with school projects. Creating scavenger hunts for gifts, taking silly pictures, and telling them to make smart choices. The mom who gives her time, support, and love from sun up to sun down. So, yeah, in this regard, Mother's Day should be a day for moms to celebrate themselves...in whichever way they choose.

It's still hard to believe my daughter is in her twenties now and my son will graduate high school next month! But for this blog I'm taking it back. Back before adulthood took ahold of them. Besides, there aren't any personal photos in MMMM: and the music that made me, so here's a glimpse of my two favorite people right here.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there (especially the single mamas).
